GriefShare
Bardsdale UMC will be initiating its first GriefShare group during the first quarter of 2025. Please contact the church if you are interested in participating. Days and times of the meetings will be selected after understanding the needs of the participants. Contact the church office (office@bardsdaleumc.org) if interested in participating.
GriefShare is a 13-session, lay-led support group ministry that helps people process their grief in a biblical way. The weekly format includes a video seminar, small-group discussion, and personal workbook.
Features:
- Trusted experts: In each 30-minute session video, respected Christian counselors, teachers, and pastors share valuable insights on how to navigate grief.
- Timely topics: Your group participants will receive help for the issues they’re facing, such as loneliness, guilt, anger, anxiety, and questions for God.
- Christ-centered teaching: Each lesson helps people apply biblical principles as they deal with the emotions and life stresses following their loved one’s death.
- Personal testimonies: Grieving people in your church and community will be relieved to hear from people in the videos who share what’s common in grief and what they found helpful.
- Discussion with purpose: The group discussion allows people to share what they are facing and talk together about what they learned from the video and how to apply it in their lives. Discussion questions are provided for facilitators.
