What to Expect

We know that attending a church for the first time can be uncomfortable.  Here is what you can expect:  Whether you are a lifelong church-goer or this is your first time in a church, you will find a warm welcome at Bardsdale UMC. As United Methodist Christians, we focus on Jesus, Everyone, no matter who you are or where you have been, is welcome.  Our worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. in a spirited traditional style.  We sing traditional and contemporary hymns and read prayers together. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month with anyone and everyone welcome to share in this special meal where we are reminded of how much God loves us.  United Methodists have an “Open Table.”

Children are always welcome.  The Children’s Sermon is a designated portion of our Sunday worship experience that guides our children in learning scripture and hearing God’s word.  Taught most frequently by our Lay Leader, the goal is to raise children who can learn to know about Christ and have a meaningful relationship with him.
